Being able to voice chat with your avatar really helps enhance the experience, especially if you want to hear your AI partner describe exactly what she wants to do to you.

The chat function on Kupid.ai is very responsive, although they can sometimes reply with a generic message if it doesn’t understand a phrase or doesn’t have a natural response, such as “That’s so hot, I like it when you talk dirty to me,” which can be a bit of a boner killer if you’re looking for a little more material to work with.

On the platform, you get one message before you have to sign up, and then only six more before you need to commit to any of the subscription packages. This is nowhere near enough of a trial of the capabilities of Kupid.ai.

Those who do purchase a membership, however, will be able to use voice messaging, the image-sharing option, the romantic or steamy roleplay options, and image generation. You can create images of your avatar as innocent or compromising as you want in the free plan, but the only kicker is that the pictures will be so blurred you will think you're zoomed in on the junk of a Japanese porno.

When using the function to create your partner, the customization options and personalities are quite limited. With that being said, while there are only four body types, there are several boob, butt, and ethnicity types to play around with… literally.

At the moment, there are 20 female models and only four male and anime models. Although limited, compared to other platforms we have reviewed like Candy.ai, they are very different from each other. This makes it more likely to find an avatar that gets you going but may not appeal to virtual girlfriend connoisseurs who are a little pickier when it comes to diversity and body types.

A unique feature on Kupid.ai is that you can buy your virtual partner a variety of gifts, which will increase the affection they have for you and build on the connection. People like being showered with gifts in a relationship, who’d have thought? The only downside to this is that you have to spend your in-platform currency. While you get a monthly quota of these coins, if you use them up before they are refreshed, you will have to buy more.
Your avatar can remember what you like when getting freaky through the memory system, which ranges from 48 hours to unlimited depending on the subscription package. This allows more meaningful relationships to develop between you and your avatar, improving the experience with every interaction.

So unless you don’t mind your partner having amnesia, you will have to commit to a membership. Then again, depending on the types of things you’re into, maybe letting them forget will be a blessing.
